I’m stuck at “Checking for patcher update…” What’s wrong?
This may happen if the patcher has trouble contacting the servers. The connection might be blocked by one of the following:
1.) Firewall – Please ensure that ‘UruLauncher.exe’ is on your firewall’s exception list.
2.) High latency connections – Satellite internet, or any connection with very high ping may prevent the launcher from connecting immediately. If the launcher does not connect within a few seconds, closing and reopening the program will force it to attempt the connection again immediately. However, if your connection is the issue, you will most likely continue to experience problems in the future.
3.) Router – This is much less likely than the above options, but possible. If your router is incorrectly configured, it may reroute some connections coming from your computer and prevent the launcher from seeing the server correctly. Please ensure that your router is correctly configured to pass connections to your computer, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
